River Cottage, Pitlochry, Perthshire
www.pitlochrycottages.com

River Cottage is one of these rare properties. It is a
quaint and slightly quirky country property that was originally built as
kennels for East Lodge next door. a two
roomed gate house for Kindrogan Estate and dates
from the early 19th Century. Indeed there is a passing reference
to the lodge made by Queen Victoria, in her journal
of 1866, when she visited the area. The cottage has recently been converted
to include a lounge, with log burning stove, kitchen with dining area and
two bedrooms.
The lounge leads out onto a large decked sun
terrace which sits overhangs the edge of the river Ardle.
